Baumgardner Funeral Home was established in 1971

Baumgardner Funeral Home was established in 1971 by Marlin C. and Betty Baumgardner and their twin sons, Allen and James.  Their first location in Crowley was located in a building purchased from the Crowley Church of Christ, 112 N. Tarrant St.

Previous to starting their own business with their parents, Allen and James had spent several years in the funeral industry working at other funeral homes. In May of 1973 at the early age of 31, James passed away from cancer.
With the business growing, Marlin and Allen felt the need for a larger facility and later that year, purchased the First Baptist Church of Crowley at 212 N. Tarrant St. To the present day, this is where the Baumgardner Funeral Chapel is located.  In 2008 the facility was completely remodeled and brought up to date.
Also in 1973, the Baumgardner's expanded and purchased Miller Funeral Home on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth.  In 1984 the success of their business created the need to expand to a larger facility and thereby, purchasing a building on the traffic circle at 3704 Highway 377S., Fort Worth where they continue to better serve.
In 1997, at the age of 83, Marlin Baumgardner passed away and in 2003, at the age of 89, Betty Baumgardner passed away.
Carrying on the Baumgardner name and tradition, Allen, his wife Judy and family continue to operate as a family owned business and take pride in the personal and compassionate service provided to "all" the families we serve.
