Wayne Calvin Brashear

Benbrook–Wayne Calvin Brashear, 69, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2019. Wayne was born to Roland and Doris Brashear on February 3, 1950. He served in the United States Air force from 1972-1976. Wayne was preceded in death by his sister Brenda Brashear Pettis.

SERVICE- A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Victory Temple 2101 Acosta St. Grand Prairie, TX 75051. A reception will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Texan RV Ranch 1961 Lone Star Rd. Mansfield, TX 76063.┬áIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to St. Jude’s.

SURVIVORS- Wife, Barbara; daughters, Heather Brashear Eary and husband, Brent, Crystal Mathis and husband, Joe, Stacey Campbell and husband, Buddy;brothers, John Brashear and wife, Dena,Ted Brashear; sister, Linda Brashear Sloss; granddaughters, Claudia Eary and Abbey Mathis; grandsons, Braden Eary, Ty and Ryker Mathis, Carson and Jacob Campbell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

  1. Wayne was a very special man. He married my daughter 18 years ago. He fit into our family right off. He was a brother to my other 2 daughters, father to Barbara’s 2 daughters, grandfather to her 5 grandchildren, and a very loving husband to Barbara and for that I thank God. After Riley passed he took care of me. This is not goodby we will be together again. All my love MOM

  2. Thank God for Wayne finding Barbara and making her his wife almost 18 years ago. He also married her family. He became a husband to her, father to her two girls, their husbands and grandfather to their 5 children. Wayne was a brother to her 2 sisters. To Riley and I he was the son we never had . When Riley passed 7 years ago he helped take care of me. So I thank God for sending him to us. We will miss him but we will see him again. Love you son so much Mom.

  3. Wayne was a great friend a brother to me we had great times when we were together I met Wayne back in 1973 we were stationed together in the Air Force I will never forget my brother and all the great times . This man had a big heart
