William Harrison Grubbs III, was born on August 28th, 1958 in Ft. Worth Texas to Zeta Rae Bowman and William Harrison Grubbs Jr. He attended school in Burleson where he met the love of his life Lisa Dawn Wadley. They married on January 20th, 1979 in Burleson, Texas. They raised their family in North Richland Hills, Texas where they were married for more than 20 years, until her death in November of 2002. Billy as friends and family knew him spent his early years teaching and practicing karate. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing at lakes, local ponds, or watering holes. He was a natural born storyteller and loved telling stories and making others laugh. His grandchildren and daughters were his life and he loved getting to spend time with them whenever he could. Billy fought hard but loved harder. His family was his entire world, and he loved each and every one of them dearly. He left this world making sure each member of his family knew just how much he loved them. His boisterous laugh could be heard from all around, he truly will be missed but never forgotten.
Survivors-William Grubbs is survived by his two daughters, April DeLaCruz and spouse Michael DeLaCruz of Whitharral, Texas, Amanda Grubbs and spouse Shannon West of Cleburne, Texas, six grandchildren, Jacob DeLaCruz, Julia DeLaCruz, DeLaney Williams, Devin Williams, Landyn Grubbs, and Lathyn Grubbs, his mother Zeta Rae Bowman of Gillette, Wyoming, brothers Rick Grubbs and spouse Anita Grubbs of Burleson, Texas, Johnny Grubbs and spouse Lori of Grandbury, Texas, Joe Grubbs of Whitesettlement, Texas, sisters, Pam Money and husband Dennis Money of Arlington, Texas, Gwen Bintner of Burleson, Texas, Christie Mercier of Arlington, Texas, Jama Mercier of Oklahoma, Sherrena Grubbs of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lisa Dawn Grubbs, daughter Tabitha Williams, mom Fran Grubbs, father William Harrison Grubbs Jr, sister Hedi Moffitt, and David Sullivan.
